The villa is built to high standards and offers all modern facilities, furnishings and fittings. Everything in this superb villa has been chosen with care to make sure guests enjoy a most comfortable holiday.
The outdoor area includes a covered lounge and dining area, sun beds and parasols, and a second covered lounge next to bedroom nr.3.
This one storey residence was formerly a small industry building, which is reflected in the above-normal high ceilings. It has just been completely re-built to a contemporary holiday home and includes 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen / living room (with a sofa bed for an additional 2 guests), a huge terrace beyond the living room, and an amazing infinity pool with children’s part.
The property is enclosed by a fence and private gate and there is on-site parking available. The garden includes a lovely lawn for recreation.
Due to its past history, the house has a number of solar panels on its roof, and the rear part of the building (with its own entrance) is used for storage facilities by the owners. Please note however, that this does not in any way affect the privacy of the guests and/or the accommodation.
The surroundings are lovely, with a few houses as immediate neighbors. There are endless walking/hiking alternatives right outside the door, and the sea is merely minutes away. This is a perfect property for a laid back holiday in a pristine and authentic environment, with all modern amenities.
Chora Sfakion is the perfect is the starting point for exploring the beautiful south coast of Crete. The area has countless opportunities for hiking and exploring the beautiful and awe-inspiring ravines and mountains. Sfakia is famous for its approximately 50 ravines, the most famous being Samaria, Imbros, and Aradena.
From Sfakia on a clear day one can glimpse the islands of Gavdos and Gavdopoula, 22 nautical miles south of Crete. Gavdos with its 50 inhabitants is a small, beautiful green island with unforgettable sandy beaches and views. You can reach Gavdos by ferry or by an organized boat trip.
Notos Mare Marine Adventures in the innermost part of the new harbor offers boat rentals, organized boat trips, taxi-boat, etc.
Please note: The property is located in the village. There will be typical village sounds such as neighbors going around their daily business, goats & sheep grazing, cockerels, barking at times, children playing, and church bells, which will be heard when you are outdoors at the villa. Typical quiet hours are between 3 and 5 pm, and after 10 pm.

Booked last minute and Alexandra and Christina couldn’t have been more helpful. Thetis is absolutely as you see it in the photos, perfect for a super chilled few days. Couple of small supermarkets and bakeries kept us supplied for breakfast and lunches while evenings in the harbour side restaurants were a joy. PS. You will need a car, no way are you walking up those hills back to the villa.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic – even better than the photos! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming: the owner, Alexandra, and Christina were all super helpful and available throughout our stay. We were even spoiled with delicious pastries and raki – such a thoughtful gesture! We also highly recommend the private chef, Stifis. He was absolutely amazing – not only is his cooking exceptional, but he’s also a wonderful person. The dinner he prepared for us was a magical experience, truly one of the highlights of our trip. What a lovely, peaceful place to spend some quiet relaxing time. The views are unbelievable, the villa has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Close to many lovely quiet beaches and hikes if you are looking for some exercise. Christina was a great host and made some great recommendations including the hire of a private boat which was a great way to spend a day. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Perfect stay. We had a wonderful stay of 14 days at Thetis. The view is amazing, the house is in a marvelous condition and you will find it perfectly equipped. Christina took care of us in a remarkable manner, always reachable and very friendly. She stopped by to bring us homemade Sfakion pie with local honey and placed a wine in the fridge on the first day. The house cleaning service was twice a week and very ambitious. The house, pool and outside area were exceptionally clean during the stay. Chora Sfakion is a lovely little village with a few restaurants. You will find small supermarkets and bakeries nearby, a very nice bar (Thea) is a 6 min walk away. There are beautiful beaches close to the village. Over all it way a lovely stay at Thetis which could not have been better. We especially do thank Christina for her support.

Thetis, thank you! Amazing views from the swimming pool across the entire coast. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of utensils for everything, for bbq, great quality knives (this is important!), an American coffee maker, a coffee maker with excellent quality Illy coffee capsules, a grill to plug in to make toasties or grill vegetables indoors, food processor, tons of different sized and brand new pots and pans. Tiled bathrooms with plenty of towels and great waterfall showers. The high ceilings, modern and new interiors felt like no one else had stayed here before us. There were towels we could use by the pool. Even a little medicine cabinet for any emergencies. Christina was a very welcoming and kind host, a welcome bottle of wine, peanuts and fruit and had gone to the supermarket for us as we had arrived late in the evening- also ordering our dinner from the local taverna for delivery. half way thru our week they cleaned the house too. honestly beautiful, relaxing, the best week.

We enjoyed the stay in the gorgeous Villa Thetis very much e.g. the stylish very comfortable rooms. We found exactly the house we expected. The communication was excellent and super- professional with Christina. The view out of the infinity pool was outstanding. You definitely need a car to the explore the village and go to the grocery. Highly recommended!!

We loved the slow and relaxing feel of our stay. Alexandra had great communication from booking to the end. Be prepared to be secluded in a small village with animals around. Very nature filled. The Local village is about a 5 mims drive and has food options. Definitely take a day trip on a boat to see the beauty. We had a great time.

The best villa in Chora Sfakion: modern, stylish, has everything that you need - and unbeatable views. The village is worth spending several days: a boat trip or several trips is a must, Samaria gorge, great restaurants, nice and helping locals. Be aware of village life - barking dogs almost round o‘clock, children in the streets - don‘t expect a spa atmosphere on the villa. But sunrises, sunsets and the nature around make you forget all this. Very welcoming and helpful hosts - we loved the place, thank you!

The Villa is really lovely and we were made to feel most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, if we had any queries or needed any help, it was dealt with immediately and we were provided with useful local information on arrival. The villa is situated right on the edge of the village, which was very convenient when travelling down to the sea front to dine in one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the sea. This coastline is marvellous and it is well worth visiting, and eating, in the places dotted along the coast (by boat/ferry and by car). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to South Crete.

There is only one thing you need to know: the pictures do not lie. It is just as beautiful and functional as the pictures lead you to expect. And it is a great base from which to explore the southwestern coastal region of Crete. We were busy every day with boat trips (Marmara beach, Gavdos), road trips to the hinterland and other nearby regions (Anatopoli, Sellia, and Plakias). We were two families of four, with kids age 6, 9, 11, and 13. All the kids slept in the same room and it was not a problem. Awesome vacation!

A beautiful house with an amazing view, just like in the photos. Quick drive to Sfakia; 4-5 minute drive to a lovely little local beach w/ almost no one there (which we much preferred to the more popular beaches to the west). Kitchen is very well equipped: we cooked at home almost every night, to enjoy eating on the patio at sunset. Local groceries are limited but so inexpensive; there’s a butcher in Sfakia (right next to the post office)–no sign, and looks like mostly wholesale, but we got meat from him several times (amazing pork chops for grill). Alexandra is a very attentive host, and responded quickly to all our small concerns. Highly recommend!

Flot ejendom, med vidunderlig udsigt over havet, stilfuldt indrettet og hyggelige terrasser. Ejendommen er afsides liggende, og giver lidt ekstra kørsel, til og fra lufthavnen, samt til de større supermarkeder. Men ellers hyggelig by, hvor hverdagen kan ses og mærkes, og det er ikke overløbet af turister i løbet dagen.

We really can’t say enough good things about our stay at Villa Thetis. We travelled to Crete with our twin boys (aged 9 months) in May. The villa was as pictured and absolutely beautiful. The space is bigger than it appears in the pictures. The view is amazing and the pool is beautiful. The Villa is in a small village and a very short drive to Chora Sfakion. The Villa is great for a quiet family holiday and those looking for a more authentic Greek experience. This place isn’t for you if you would like to be in the middle of the action. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They organised for us to have two high chairs and travel cots. They also arranged for us to have groceries in the house on our arrival. A cleaner came once every three days and went above and beyond what was expected – she even cleaned the small splash pool we bought for our boys. Before leaving the villa one of the neighbours brought us a home-made sfakian pie (a local delicacy) as a send-off. By the end of our stay we felt as though we were part of the village and were sad to leave – we would highly recommend a stay at Villa Thetis!

Infinity-Pool in richtiger Größe und Tiefe mit genialem Blick auf's Meer. Betreuung vor Ort durch Dimitra sehr freundlich und superschnell. Alles war einfach traumhaft - zum Chillen sehr geeignet!

Villa Thetis was so much more than we had hoped for. The setting was absolutely stunning and I could not get enough of the view. The villa itself was beautiful and very tastefully decorated in a simple style and extremely well equipped. Despina was fantastic and went over and above the call of duty to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The villa was exceptionally clean and the mid week refresh was a treat. The location of the villa makes it possible to walk into the village although it is a bit of an uphill walk back but there are taxis. The village is lovely and provides all you need for either eating out in one of the many tavernas along the sea front or the supermarkets, bakery and butcher. We prepared some delicious suppers in the villa and with a setting like that you do not need to go far. We did visit several beaches and enjoyed swimming in the beautiful clear waters. We hired a boat from Notos Mare which was a great success . As we had to take our son back to the airport we spent a day in Rethymnon which was a lovely place to visit. The vast majority of our holiday was spent around the pool enjoying the surroundings. Would thoroughly recommend. Alexandra, Thank you so much for being a great host.
