Lovely villa with magnificent sea and coastal views, and private pool. Located in the historic and beautiful village of Chora Sfakion on the south coast of Chania.
The villa includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open kitchen in the living room, a spacious terrace beyond the living room and a large terrace on the 2nd floor.
The villa is built to high standards and offers all modern facilities.
On the ground floor the entrance leads to the living room and kitchen with dining area. The living room leads to the spacious terrace / outdoor living area which is partially covered by a pergola under which the outdoor dining table and lounge is located. From this terrace there is access to the pool. The ground floor also includes a bedroom with access to the terrace, a bathroom and the staircase leading to the 2nd floor.
The second floor includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Both bedrooms access a large terrace.
Both floors and all rooms have wonderful sea views and views to the coast, the village and the surrounding area.
Chora Sfakion is the perfect is the starting point for exploring the beautiful south coast of Crete. The area has countless opportunities for hiking and exploring the beautiful and awe-inspiring ravines and mountains. Sfakia is famous for its approximately 50 ravines, the most famous being Samaria, Imbros, and Aradena.
From Sfakia on a clear day one can glimpse the islands of Gavdos and Gavdopoula, 22 nautical mil south of Crete (link below). Gavdos with its 50 inhabitants is a small, beautiful green island with unforgettable sandy beaches and views. You can reach Gavdos by ferry or by an organized boat trip.
Notos Mare Marine Adventures in the innermost part of the new harbor offers boat rentals, organized boat trips, taxi-boat, etc.

Tipp: Der Vermieter betreibt u.a. eine Taverne, die in ca. fünf Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar ist und bietet dort einheimische Gerichte an.

We stayed here for two weeks at this amazing villa. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful, the villa is new and modern. Location is 2,5 hours driving from Heraklion, but it takes you to beautiful spots in Crete. Super markets close by as well as many tavernas in the harbor. It is at walking distance but a steep climb. The area is less suitable if you are walking badly. Cleaning service can be arranged with owners, plenty of towels. Just some small remarks which are not negatives, but which you should consider before renting. Although the villa is suitable for 8, I think the optimal number is 6. For a eight person villa the dish washer and washing machine is a little small. Not a big issue but should you know. Fantastic villa!

Alexandra super-helpful. George, the owner, source of great advice (and cooked food!). House well equipped and maintained. Didn't use small pool but looked nice. Sea view & coastline amazing but in foreground main road, boat-building yard, petrol station and truck park. Houses on either side. But peaceful, and quite quiet. Can be windy. Village good number shops and restaurants, even a post office. Fresh food limited (inc fish), so do a big shop in Chania. Local yogurt, bakery, cheese, olive oil & honey excellent. Wine less so! We hiked every day. No space here to pass on everything we learnt but avoid Samaria & Imbros: too crowded. Agia Roumeli-Loutro (or Marmara), Aradena, Askifou plain (to Agios Nektarios), Skafia gorge and Eligia gorge all fantastic (last quite tough, GPS essential). Consider Manousis's taxi (to get back to start) & Notos Mare water taxis (E40-120), as ferry limited, esp early. Loutro-Sfakion, easy half day.

Wonderful stay! Very villa and comfortable villa with beautiful views of the sea - stunning sunsets and sun rises from the back deck. Very peaceful area just 15 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants from Chora Sfkaion. George was very helpful and communicative and made sure we had everything we need.

Luxury house with a fantastic view to the Libyan Sea. Short distance to the charming village of Chora Sfakion. The house is fully equipped with everything you need including a brand new and relaxing pool. The host and owner did everything we asked for to experience and explore this beautiful paradise. This was the best place we (family of 6) have spend our holiday ever. Thanks to George and Alexandra for lending us your beautiful villa.

Da er vi hjemme etter to flotte uker i Villa Alia. Kjempefint hus med et deilig basseng og flott utsikt utover havet. Rent og pent både ute og inne med alle fasiliteter en familie trenger på ferie. Huset ligger tilbaketrukket i et rolig lite nabolag. Huseier Giorgos var veldig hyggelig og klar for å bistå med hva enn det event måtte være. Det er ca 1.5 km ned til den lille landsbyen Chora Safikon hvor det ligger flere restauranter, to matbutikker og en slakter. Det er gode muligheter for leie av båt eller taxibåt. Masse flotte strender i nærheten dersom man bruker båt. Vi droppet leiebil og benyttet heller taxi dersom vi trengte bil. Fungerte veldig bra. Dette er andre gang vi leier hus på Kreta gjennom Almyra, forrige gang var på nordsiden. Veldig fornøyde begge gangene og kommer til å bruke Alexandra og Almyra igjen.

George's villa in Chora Sfakion is truly a gem: spacious, comfortable and overlooking the Libyan Sea. We particularly enjoyed the flower garden and the bathtub. The views are stunning but since the house is on top of a steep hill, you will need a car to do grocery shopping and move around.

Extremely confortable, new and absolutely clean house. The host ist very welcoming and lovely. Apart from a large parking ground in the distance there is a very nice seaview from the house. He spent four great days here.
