AKROGIALI, fish restaurant located in the “new town harbor” called Nea Chora, west of the Venetian Harbor.

THROUBI STIN LADOKOLA, delicious Greek food with a twist – you won’t find these dishes anywhere else.

THALASSINO AGERI, perhaps the best seafood in town. Located in the former tannery area, waterfront setting and amazing views. 

KOUZINA EPE, delicious “homemade” food. Open only until 6 pm or until sold out! A favorite amongst the locals.

TO XANI (pronounced TO HANI), delicious authentic Greek food. Live music every evening during the summer months.

TA NEORIA, fish and seafood restaurant with other local delicacies.
Located in the Venetian Harbor.

PALLAS, modern Greek cuisine, good selection of steaks and meat. Lovely roof top setting with amazing views to the Venetian Harbor. 

PATRELANTONIS, one of the best seafood restaurants in Chania. Filmed for the food series of Discovery Channel.

ROKOS FISH TAVERN Giannis’ little beach tavern with excellent fish and seafood.

NYKTERIDA, (the bat in Greek) is one of the oldest and best restaurants in Chania. It is only open for dinner (after 8 pm) in the summer). A lá carte each evening, but often reserved for venues during the weekends in high season. The menu contains traditional dishes with a modern twist. This restaurant has a rich history of famous guests, which can be read about in the introduction of the menu.

SUNSET, taverna by Hotel Tersanas Village Apartments has lovely homemade Cretan food made by the owner, Kyria (Mrs.) Maria.

TO RIZITIKO, on Sundays at lunchtime, exceptional grilled rack of lamb prepared “the old way” on a circular outdoor grill. Something you won’t find elsewhere.
