Sailing with Notos
Sail for a day and explore hidden gems and secluded beaches! Our excellent local partner has 20 years of experience and will ensure you have a wonderful day at sea.
The trip usually start at 10:00 from the Venetian Harbor in Chania. The weather will always determine the itinerary, and the return to the Venetian Harbor will be 17:00 – 17:30.
Alternatively, there is a shorter trip (half day) with just two stops for swimming and chilling on board. Destinations are beaches and small islands around the Chania bay such as Maherida, Theodorou, Lazaretta and Menies.
During the trip there are several stops for a swim and a snack. Bottled wine, beers, and/or soft drinks are served. Bring your swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen, and enjoy a superb day on the water.
Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are provided.

Full-Day Sailing Trip
Departure: 10:00 AM from the historic Old Harbour of Chania.
First Stop – Maherida Beach: Within an hour, we’ll anchor at the serene Maherida Beach. Dive into its crystal-clear waters and explore the untouched marine beauty. This secluded spot, with its tiny shore sheltered from the winds, epitomizes the pristine allure of the Cretan coastline.
Second Stop – Thodorou Island: Our journey continues to Thodorou Island, home to the endangered Cretan wild goat, the Kri Kri. Enjoy swimming in the island’s inviting waters while observing these unique creatures in their natural habitat. Meanwhile, our captain will prepare a light snack accompanied by wine or beer, all under the comfort of the boat’s shaded area.
Third Stop – Lazaretta Island: Our final destination is Lazaretta Island, where you can snorkel and swim to the island’s quaint sandy beach, immersing yourself in its tranquil environment.
Return: We conclude our voyage at approximately 5:00 PM, docking back at the Old Harbour.
Half-Day Sailing Trip
Duration: 4 hours.
Stops: We’ll visit Thodorou and Lazaretta Islands, offering ample opportunities for swimming and relaxation.
Inclusions: Fresh fruits, light snacks, wine or beer, soft drinks, and water.
Sunset Trip
Duration: 4 hours.
Itinerary: Includes a stop for swimming, followed by a serene sunset experience accompanied by wine, fresh fruits, and a light snack.
